How Good Are You at Thanksgiving Math?

In just a few short weeks our nation will celebrate a day purposed for and dedicated to the giving of thanks – especially the giving of thanks to God for His bounteous blessings on our nation. In the name of expressing thanksgiving and gratitude, millions will gather with family and friends on that day. But the fact that many will gather in celebration of the holiday does not mean that thanksgiving will be expressed in every heart or at every gathering. Some people are just not good at Thanksgiving math.

Spiritual Physics

Recently after 54 years of excellent service, the dental bridge in my upper mouth split in half.  Having to part with that bridge caused me to reminisce about how I lost my three front teeth when I was twelve years old.  One day at school without knowing it a classmate and I decided at  recess to test the law of physics that says two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time. 

Living with the End in View

The last time I checked, the ratio of death to people is still 1:1.  That means there is a “use by” date assigned to each of our lives.  The challenge which comes with that use by date is that it is written in invisible ink. None of us knows what ours is.  Knowing that we have have a use by date begs the question, how will I allow that knowledge to affect how I live and what I live for?
